Title: Rainbow/
This project was created strictly from appropriated segments of audio from a variety of musical sources. These selected songs were cut up into second and millisecond fragments chosen strategically to pinpoint moments containing the least activity in each given song. These short files were then arranged together, sometimes in rapid succession, building new musical compositions. The title rainbow is in reference to the way each sound fragment was considered as a raw form to be paired with another as analogous to visual collage where clippings of raw color might be placed next to one another according to a set of aesthetic criteria. Each song title is an anagram of the word rainbow.
